	I suppose it would be fair to say that Nowa Nowa is one of East Gippsland's hidden gems. It's small. And it's easy to miss. (Just blink). But for those who enjoy discovering something different... well you'll probably like the place :-). It's known for being arty - but not in an 'obvious' sort of way. It's more about the amazing nowa nowa arts projects that continue to bubble up, and the fabulous (now biannual) Nowa Nowa Nudes - (the most fun art show in East Gippsland) .
	It's not so much about the 'art on the walls' (though there's plenty of that at Yelens Studio Gallery). It's more about the art that's hidden in the nooks and crannies. From the sculptures by the lake, to the sculpted petanque piste, the artist-made bike racks, the Art Home, the artist made mini-golf sculptures. Come for the nature (the walks, the rail trails, the kayaking) but be surprised by the art.
	For a start, you should probably love wild places. We are on the edge of Lake Tyers, beside the Nowa Nowa Gorge, with Mt Nowa Nowa overlooking the town of around 200 people. google map here. here's an illustrated map too.
	The East Gippsland Rail Trail passes right through, and we've just had around 30km of cross country bike & walking trails built on Mt Nowa Nowa. So walkers, cyclists and paddlers - you'll all be very happy. View the trail map here.
